Improves student attendance, behavioral and course performance in English and math with the use of diverse teams of young people called corps members who serve full-time in schools for 10 months.

Educates and inspires young people to become informed and engaged citizens by providing challenging, hands-on civic education programs for students and teachers in Washington, DC. Using the nation's capital as a living classroom, participants get a "close-up" view of government and democracy in action.

A unique training opportunity for Native youth in the DC area that provides Native youth with some of the skills, strategies, and tools necessary to be a competitive candidate for careers on the Hill. Participants will speak with current Native Hill staff and learn directly from the directors of the Senate and House Diversity Initiatives.
