Bettina Gonzalez serves as  Outreach and Engagement Associate and team lead on GENERATION INDIGENOUS (Gen-I). She is responsible for engaging youth within the National Native Youth Network, as well as expanding Gen-I through outreach and program development. Additionally, Bettina supports the team’s communication efforts, managing Gen-I’s social media platforms. She was formerly CNAY’s first Newman’s Own Foundation Fellow, and as a fellow, developed and designed the inaugural State of Native Youth Report 2016.

 

Bettina attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut as a QuestBridge National Merit Scholar and received a B.S. in Psychology and Film Studies. She was awarded the Newman’s Own Foundation fellowship due to her work highlighting race- and class- based inequalities through research and film. Her passion to serve and uplift underserved and disenfranchised communities in the United States and globally led her to the Center of Native American Youth.
