EMAIL: WARREN.MOUNTAIN@ASPENINSTITUTE.ORG

Warren Mountain is enrolled in the Red Lake Nation and a descendant of the Fond Du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. He is currently the Communications Intern at the Center for Native American Youth and part of the Spring 2019 cohort for the Native American Political Leadership Program (NAPLP) at George Washington University. Warren just completed two years at Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College where he was able to serve as Anishinaabe Student Council President. Looking forward Warren is planning on transferring to Haskell University of Indian Nations to pursue a degree in Indigenous Studies. Back on his home community on the Fond Du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Reservation he can be found either working at the community center with Native American youth or working on his next piece of beadwork. Warren’s creations are inspired by and from the traditional Ojibwe floral motif with a modern approach. If he could be anywhere, he would either be hiking or enjoying the shores of Lake Superior.
