3/13 Gen-I NOW: 2019 Native Youth in Food and Agriculture Leadership Summit

The 2019 Native Youth in Food and Agriculture Summit will be a skills-development focused event that will give attendees an opportunity to do a deep dive in a particular area of food and agricultural production or policy. These four subject matter areas are:

1) Agricultural Business and Finance;
2) Land Stewardship and Conservation;
3) Agricultural Law and Policy; and
4) Nutrition and Health.

The Summit will be held July 18-25th, 2019 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the University of Arkansas, home of the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative. Some travel assistance may become available; participants will receive information about this after they are accepted into the program.

Participants will be expected to arrive in Fayetteville on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 and depart Thursday, July 25th, 2019.


Application Deadline: March 15, 2019 11:59 PM Central Time.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian;
  • Ages 18-23
  • Recently graduated High School seniors may apply
