Native Students Attend Presidential Transition Events in Washington, DC

Between January 19 and 21, students from the Native American Political Leadership Program (NAPLP) attended the American Indian Society of Washington DC’s inaugural event series as Emerging Leaders.

There, students interacted with tribal leaders, connected with members of the Society, and were recognized for their accomplishments as NAPLP scholars.

Prior to the kickoff of the Society’s events, NAPLP students were granted access to the National Congress of American Indians‘ annual Presidential Transition Meeting, and heard tribal leaders’ priorities for the incoming administration.
