Northwestern University Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing Focus Group

The Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing (ISGMH) at Northwestern University conducts research and creates new interventions to help reduce health disparities among the LGBT community. The ISGMH is working on an online, HIV prevention intervention, called the SMART project, targeted towards demographically diverse adolescent (13-18-year-old) gay, bi, and queer boys in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. This innovative program will deliver contextually relevant information about healthy sexuality specific to our target population and will be offered in both English and Spanish.

ISGMH is currently looking for participants for a focus group for SMART. This focus group is targeted toward 13-18 year old GBQ guys, who will give feedback on SMART content and test out some of the activities. The group is entirely online, and participants will be paid $30. ISGMH values the input of diverse youth in making this a resource that young men of color like and find useful.
