#PATHFORWARD Town Hall on Opioids

The Department of Health and Human Services invites you to participate in the PATH Town Hall on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m. Eastern Time
in Washington, DC. The event will include special remarks from HHS leadership, members of Congress, and tribal leaders. A livestream of the event will
be accessible for those unable to attend but willing to participate.

Additionally, youth are encouraged to take a pledge to build a #PATHFORWARD to improve behavioral health in your community. These pledges will be broadcasted at the event.

Finally, if you are a local Native youth in the Washington, DC area whose community is being impacted by the opioid crisis, email Sharece Tyler (Sharece.Tyer@samhsa.hhs.gov)
to learn more about an opportunity to speak at this town hall.

TO PARTICIPATE:

  • Sign the pledge and email your release form to Sharece Tyler at Sharece.Tyer@samhsa.hhs.gov;
  • Post a photo of yourself on the HHS Facebook event page, your Instagram and Twitter, using the hashtag #PATHFORWARD (check out this social media toolkit
    for tips on posting);
  • Share with your peers and encourage them to take the pledge; and
  • Join the town hall in person or on the livestream.
