Angel Benally is from the Dine Nation. Angel is from the Cliff Dweller People clan. She is born for the Red Running into the Water clan. Her maternal grandpa is from the Towering House clan. Her paternal grandpa is from the Within His Cover clan. She resides in the Four Corners area of the Southwest. She will be graduating from Fort Lewis College with her bachelor’s in political science with a minor in pre-law in May 2020. 

Angel is passionate about advocating for underrepresented populations. As a first-generation college student, Angel’s experience navigating academia has lead to her encourage and promote students from all walks of life. Her involvement in student senate as a parliamentarian at Fort Lewis has propelled her forward with her abilities to navigate politics while staying true to her Indigenous roots. 

At CNAY Angel will be working on programmatic support as well as communications support. Her passion for advocacy of Indigenous peoples aligns perfecting with CNAY mission to provide youth recognition, inspiration and leadership.
