Moses Marr’aq Wiseman (he/him) is a Yup’ik language advocate who grew up in the Village of Chefornak. He is a community-centered advocate committed to language access, cultural equity, and meaningful collaboration with Indigenous communities. Moses earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University and is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership at Alaska Pacific University.
Moses currently serves as the Alaska Native Languages Program Director at the Alaska Institute for Justice. Outside of work and school, he enjoys Yup’ik dancing with relatives and spending time with his family. Moses is the son of Victor and Leona Wiseman and the grandson of Dennis Nakrialnguq and Adeline Kaagyugaq Panruk, and Charlie Anartuaq and Josephine Inarayuli Wiseman.
