Metzli Lemus

Metzli Lemus (she/her) is 21 years old and from Sacramento, CA. Born and raised into Aztec Dance in her hometown, she has taken various leadership roles in the dance community, including helping the young women prepare for their coming of age ceremonies. Growing up very closely tied to her Indigenous teachings, she carries them with her in every space she is in. She now resides in San Francisco, CA and attends the University of San Francisco. Metzli is a spring 2026 graduate with a bachelor’s in Critical Diversity Studies with a concentration in Chicanx, Latinx & Indigenous Studies with a minor in Politics. Metzli’s specific research areas include decolonized research methods, MMIW court jurisdiction and policy, while also focusing on Latinx literature. Metzli also loves to try new food, and will never turn down a good restaurant recommendation.
