This piece is a portrait of my Great Grandma on my mother’s side relaxing with her cane. She represents my hopes for the future because I hope the future is traditional and full of knowledge. I would like to see my peers and family members live as old as her so that way they can become teachers to the younger generation. I think our elders are a crucial part of how we form and build our futures.
