This piece, “No More Stolen Sisters” was painted over Dr. Seuss art. I wanted to paint over the art after learning the author had some racist books. I chose to highlight MMIW because it is my dream and hope for our future that there will be no more stolen sisters and no more racism. This is my hope for my culture and community. I added my bead work. My hope is to keep learning and to keep healing through my culture. I have learned lessons through beadwork. My hope is that our ways will keep being learned and passed on.
