Avery Tilley

Avery is pursuing two BS degrees at Michigan State University: Fisheries & Wildlife (Pre-Vet) and Molecular Genetics & Genomics with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Avery is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and has a passion for indigenous wildlife management. He is also committed to advancing an agenda of proper research collaborations between tribes and universities. He serves as the Region 6 Student Representative for AISES and is a Board Member of The Wildlife Society Native Peoples Wildlife Management Wokring Group. Avery is passionate about wildlife heath across a variety of issues, but hopes to spend his career advancing wildlife health initiatives across tribal lands. After graduating from MSU, Avery will pursue a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, focusing on tribal wildlife medicine.
