Entitled, “I am an intersectional mask of the present & the past”. it isn’t possible to completely portray one aspect of my identity for this piece when so much goes into who I am. Which made me think about Intersectionality, and the ways that all of my intersecting identities can interact in different ways. Connecting in unique ways (the new colors) within myself and with others, how some are more privileged (circle sizes). And what it means to be an Indigenous person, with all of my other identities, navigating how to feel like part of the communities I identify with.
