I’m Charlie, a 13 year old aspiring Choctaw artist. Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved art more then anything, and it’s my dream to pursue it as a career. I believe submitting my art would help start my dream and let others see and enjoy the art I create.

This is an acrylic painting made to show how sacred our youth and childhood is. You may brush off your younger self, but they are always with you. They are the ones that started our dreams, goals, accomplishments and who we are today. The painting represents the bond I still have with my younger self, holding on to them despite how much I’ve changed. Without the creativity I had as a kid I wouldn’t be a dreamer like I am today, and that is why I believe our childhood is so sacred.
