Cordasia Teller

I am currently a college student seeking my BA in Psychology. I am born and raised on the Navajo Nation. I love to draw, paint, etc… I also love to listen to music and try new things. I also love to hang out with my boyfriend and my family. I recently started to learn and understand the importance of my tradition and where I am coming from so that’s also apart of my identity as well.

In my tradition, we are told stories of Changing Woman (White Shell Woman) and her two sons. We refer to them as Monster Slayer and Born for Water. These spirits have guided my sense of direction and the way I see this world. We have to have balance and courage. We also have to be respectful but strong for our people. We have to protect our people and guide one another. That is what these great holy beings have taught me. They taught me about how to live my life. I love these spirts and they are what is sacred.
