I put my art into clay to symbolize how far back our lineage goes. The bird represents the clan I am a part of. “Yaat Fooshate” means Bird Clan. I drew the bird in the water to show where we come from. Being from a tribe that resides in the Florida Everglades. As a people we are involved in protecting our water and all that live off of it. Being from the Everglades is a big part of my identity.
