Erin Bailey

Before CNAY, Erin worked as Health Policy Advisor for the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs under then-Chairman Senator Byron Dorgan. While at the Committee, she was lead staffer on the Indian Health Care Improvement Act Reauthorization and led Senator Dorgan’s efforts to address Native American youth suicide and improve mental health care services in Indian Country. Erin was honored with the 2010 Outstanding Congressional Staff Award from the American Diabetes Association for her work on the reauthorization of the Special Diabetes Program. She also received a 2011 National Impact Award from the National Council of Urban Indian Health and the American Indian Society’s 2013 Daniel K. Inouye Indigenous Spirit Award, among other accolades for her commitment to advancing Native American priorities.

Erin Bailey is now Director of Executive Initiatives at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, an independent, not-for-profit hospital devoted to the care of children with disabilities. She remains closely engaged with CNAY through the Executive Committee of CNAY’s Board of Advisors.
