In response to food insecurity in his community, Jeremiah Jr. bought food and assembled lunch bags to be distributed at his Village Council office. On the first day of distribution, the village community hall was cold (no wood to heat it up) so the lunch bags were made to-go (sandwiches, snacks and Gatorade). Later that week, he returned to help heat up the hall and provided a hot meal, including chicken soup, spaghetti, garlic bread, corn, dessert and a drink for dinner. For those who aren’t able to travel as easily, Jeremiah and his family also dropped off food directly at elders’ homes.
In total, Jeremiah Jr. distributed 75 bags, which were appreciated by the community.
