My art piece shows the bond between a mother and her newborn baby. While she is on her knees surrounded by hills, this shows the touching moments between her and her child. She wants her child to have a strong future. A hopeful future. A future filled with love and ebullience. The stars surrounding them brings peacefulness, while the moon has a bright glow of hope. Her shawl, feather, and baby’s papoose holds onto our culture. The future of the Native Americans on this reservation is a bright one. Our community helps each other out whenever we need it.
