I’m 14 years old and am in the 9th grade at Millard south high school. I live in Omaha Nebraska and I like to draw a lot.

In the drawing I drew a picture of myself and then gridded the paper so I could draw in designs in each little box. I had to make the the value of the box’s lighter or darker with the patterns I drew so it would match up to where the shaded and lighter parts of my face were. I feel like this drawing is sentimental to me because it reminds me that even though there are a lot of ugly things I’ve gone through; they make up all the bits and pieces of me that make me Beautiful.
