Hello, my name is Nareese Dugan. I am an 18 year old self-taught artist. I am currently working hard in school. Everyday I am working to better myself and improve my art work.
I painted a woman dressed in my culture’s traditional regalia. The landscape in the background is sentimental to me, as this was the view I would see every day while I was home-bound for personal reasons. The middle ground consists of fields, which are also very common to see where I live. Along with that, there is a river right behind the lady, signifying the Colorado River, a sight I see when crossing into the nearby city. The background takes place at night, and the clouds are reminiscent of the beautiful clouds during the monsoon.
