Nichole Beatty (she/her) is an enrolled member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma. She is also a descendent of the Spirit Lake Dakota Nation, and the A’aniiih and Nakoda Tribes of Fort Belknap, MT. Nichole has had the privilege of growing up in Anadarko, OK, a proud and beautiful Native community. She has been dedicated to representing her Tribal Nations through her academics as well as in her personal life.
Currently, Nichole is pursuing a Political Science degree from the University of Oklahoma, with law school soon to follow. With her education, she hopes to be a recourse to all Native nations across Turtle Island. Additionally, Nichole is currently serving on the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma Election Board, making her the youngest elected official in her Tribe’s history. With her previous experience as the Caddo Nation Tribal Princess from 2019-2021, Nichole hopes to continue to serve her people.
Nichole has often been guided through activism with the knowledge given to her by her elders, expressing her Indigenous roots through art such as painting, sculpting, videography and film. As Nichole continues to navigate the world of activism and outreach, she often refers back to her given traditional name – Pejuta Tó Wiyan, “Blue Medicine Woman.”
