Samantha Hintz (she/hers) is a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was given the name Aanakwadoons (Little Cloud) as a child from her uncle. Samantha received her B.A. from Wellesley College in Cognitive and Linguistic Science. Since graduating and throughout her degree, Samantha has maintained a focus on Indigenous advocacy through the lens of language and mental health. She is passionate about language reclamation and working to empower Indigenous young people through building community within their passions.                                                                                                

Samantha is thrilled to have joined CNAY as a Program Coordinator and is honored to be a part of a team dedicated to Native youth.
