My mixed media piece “This is My Truth”, represents many aspects of my life. The heart is broken and made up of many different pieces. Each piece represents different areas of my life such as family, friends, my culture, my past and my future. I have mixed emotions about each area of my life but I have carefully arranged the pieces back together to create a whole. Though the heart is imperfect, it is still my truth.
