22, Otoe-Missouria, Ponca, Pueblo Laguna
As of this year, I’ve been reconnecting to my Otoe-Missouria people and I’ve started to pick up dancing southern traditional cloth this past year as well. Originally, this piece was an animation and later on I ended up designing an outfit and creating a few designs that I’ll be reworking in the future. I was highly inspired by my Otoe peoples and my late mother’s and late grandmother’s beadwork and applique designs.
