Center for Native American Youth
Provides educational opportunities for students interested in the museum profession and related fields. Interns complete projects using the resources of the NMAI and other Smithsonian offices. Internships are an opportunity for students to learn about the museum’s collections, exhibitions, programs, and methodologies, and to meet professionals in the museum field.
Employs 35 youth ages 14 to 17 during the summer months at various departments within the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Oregon.
Offers various internship programs as well as scholarships for housing and tuition for the program.
Offers a 10-week, fully-paid summer internship program for college juniors or seniors, grad or law students, or recent college graduates with a career commitment to Native American issues. Interns work in Congressional or agency offices.
Offers faculty and staff from1994 Tribal Land-Grant Institutionsthe opportunity to work collaboratively with USDA to gain insight and understanding of the federal government.
(WINS) at American University, offers Native American students the opportunity to build leadership skills while living, studying, and interning in Washington, DC.
