A demonstration project for IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian health programs. The SASP (formerly MSPI) aims to increase access to methamphetamine and suicide prevention services, improve the quality of behavioral health services associates with meth use and suicide prevention, promote the development of new and promising services that are culturally and community relevant, and demonstrate efficacy and impact.
Sources of Strength is a best practice youth suicide prevention project that utilizes the power of peer social networks to change unhealthy norms and culture and ultimately prevent suicide, bullying and substance abuse. The program is designed to prevent suicide by increasing help help seeking behaviors and connections between peers and caring adults with a focus on Hope, Help and Strength.
The National Strategy for Suicide Prevention (NSSP) called for establishing a public-private partnership to help guide the implementation of the goals and objectives in the NSSP. The Action Alliance is that partnership.
Provides bullying and cyber bullying prevention resources for schools, communities and youth.
The National Council for Suicide Prevention is a coalition nine national organizations working to prevent suicide. The mission of the National Council for Suicide Prevention is to advance suicide prevention through leadership, advocacy and a collective voice.
