Let’s build civic power together! The Center for Native American Youth (CNAY) at the Aspen Institute has dedicated funding available through our Democracy is Indigenous initiative for community engagement projects that help encourage voter participation in U.S. & Tribal elections! With midterms coming up this fall, now is the time to apply…
To qualify, your project must include a Get Out the Vote component.* But don’t worry – it’s easier than you think! Simply integrate voter engagement into an activity you’re already planning or something you’re passionate about. To apply, tell us more about your plans for a project – by September 30 at 11:59pm ET – using the project proposal form (below).
Need some inspiration? Consider…
- Launching a social media campaign / PSA
- Distributing voter education goody bags
- Hosting a voter registration event or community gathering to discuss voting plans & ballot initiatives
- Conducting door-to-door outreach

Have questions? Need help with your project? Register for an upcoming training session!
*REMINDER: legally, you are not allowed to incentivize voter registration or voting, you may not fund a political party and we ask all efforts remain nonpartisan.
