Tatiana is a student at the University of Alaska-Anchorage, majoring in electrical engineering. Over the years, she has served as a “Community Doer” for the First Alaskans Institute, 2017 Earth Ambassador for United National Indian Tribal Youth, Inc. (UNITY), and was named one of UNITY’s 25 Under 25 in 2016. In these positions, Tatiana engages and motivates her peers to learn their culture and language as well as to keep our Mother Earth clean, saying “we cannot learn our traditions if we do not respect her.” She also works to overcome stereotyping and bullying and within local school systems.
