Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Indigenous Peoples’ Day honors ancestors of the past, present, and future. Celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day is an active acknowledgement of the Columbus discovery falsehood towards historic truths and narratives of Indigenous existence, resilience, and futures. Indigenous People’s Day uplifts Indigenous cultures, excellence, and the invaluable contributions that Indigenous people have had on society. We invite you to celebrate with the Center for Native American Youth & Indigenous People on October 12, 2020.

Join us! Share with us: 1). Your Nation, 2). The territories you’re standing on, 3). What you want people to know about Indigenous People on Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

For example:

  • “I am (tribal affiliation), I live on the land of the (insert tribe) people, and what I want people to know about Indigenous People on Indigenous Peoples’ day is:____
