The Center for Native American Youth conducts various initiatives to ensure an accurate Native youth voice is heard and understood. Our data work assures that Native communities, organizations, and more have access to accurate Native youth data that reflects their collective thoughts, opinions, experiences, and needs.
About Decolonizing Data
CNAY is decolonizing the collection of Native youth data in a number of ways.
- We are ensuring the data is respectful of and reflects the various Native cultures, traditions and needs
- allowing Native youth to identify what data points needed to be collected
- Ensuring Native youth are interpreting the data collected
