DINÉ AND HOPI TRIBES
About the art: I get my strength from prayer. My painting is about prayer and strength. We pray to the sun and in my painting, the sun is Diné. The Hopi cloud is for rain and the rain helps the corn grow to make tadidiin. Tadidiin is corn pollen and the Diné use tadidiin to pray with. The white corn is also used to pray with in both my Hopi and Diné cultures. The hoghaan is where the ceremonies happen for Diné. Running is my medicine that helps me be strong. When I run, I think of my family to be strong too.
