I am a Northern California Indigenous descendant of Yurok and Central Pomo ancestry. I grew up in Crescent City/Ukiah and graduated in 2021 from Ukiah High School.
In my Community, we utilize the moon when we are preparing to put on ceremony. We do this to ensure the medicine and prayers produced are closest to creator. I love the moon because it is universal within numerous cultures and religions, a spiritual being here to witness our journey.
